Preview: Chapter 1 – Loving Truth

Truth is a constant. It is never changing. Truth is the bind that tethers us to reality and yet we find that there is reality and there is illusion. THE ALL is never changing. It cannot be added to or taken from. It has no beginning and it has no end.

THE ALL is truth. It is oneness. It is everything and nothing. If there were places in THE ALL each place would be the same as every other place. Nothing is moving for there is no space and time. It exists in harmony. It has rhythm. It has vibration. But there is no emotion, no ego, and no duality. It merely exists and is everything and nothing at all.

On the other hand, we have this physical reality which is ever changing, filled with duality and emotions. It has time and space. It has a beginning and an end. There is motion without unity. Each of us is an individual an island with our thoughts, our emotions and our ego.

We have our wants and needs. We have our hopes and dreams. We are ambitious, self-centered, self-serving, competitive, greedy, envious, scared, doubtful, and contemptuous. Our mind is closed and we think of how we can become financially free, to have the better things in life.

We try to disguise our disgusting traits and to some degree some of us are successful, but still back in the recesses of our physical mind the urges still lurk. The fact is we all look for the thing that tells us “What’s In It For Me”. The ego has such a firm hold upon what we think, do and say that we scarcely think of anything other than ourselves.

Yet, there are those that rise above this ego when they become awakened. It is a difficult thing to accomplish because of the overwhelming persuasiveness of the ego, but it is something that needs to be done. The ego is for the most part evil or at least the potential to do evil things. Maybe not all the time, but certainly by its very self-centered nature to indirectly cause harmful things to happen to others.

It is our will that creates situations where we strive to be more, have more and do more or less as the case may be. To overcome these, we must learn to not be so concerned about our status or the way others look at us. The self must become nonexistent in the sense that there is pride or self-worth. We know that the body has needs and those must be met for the body to stay alive, but our chief concern is not the glory that is to be found in deeds or possessions.

Every person’s ego spurs them on to obtain power, to be the leader and thus having control over what others are allowed to do. We want to be the center of attention by nature. This “Look At Me” attitude is what drives wedges between us. My will is stronger than yours or my way is the only way just makes enemies simply because all egos make us believe the same.

To forget all that, takes a strong will. To not have feelings of grandeur for yourself is hard to do. To forget the pride and the drive or ambition is a matter of wanting to be one. For it is in the oneness that we see none of it really matters. There is no advantage except the ones perceived on this earthly plane. There are no riches or power in THE ALL. Everything is equal. It is a level playing field where there is harmony and unconditional love abiding in and for all things.

To rise above the pettiness of self is to forget the ‘me’ and focus on the One. Believe in the One for it is the essence of what is truth. When you look around in THE ALL there is no differences and no individuals and it goes on forever. All cosmic energy is alike. It has always been and it will always be, unchanging.

Because this physical reality is ever changing and driven by the ego where the self is the only thing. Just look at the old saying, “What’s In It For Me.” It spells out the whole problem and how self-centered the ego makes us. It is the ego that prevents us from giving without receiving. Physical truth is strictly a matter of fact truth based on the wants and needs of the ego.

Spiritual life is a bonding of permanence, a cementing of faith and self where the mind is focused upon THE ALL. It is seeking a way into oneness for the physical mind. There is a knowing of the Universal Laws that govern this physical plane. These laws create continuity so the universe can run. Any being of the lower dimensions is bound by these laws and must comply with them.

Duality is part of the physical truth in the physical plane and so creates the world we know. A balance is struck by the cooperation of the dual nature of things. With this balance the universe is maintained while the physical being is often confused. The teachings of man over the ages has mostly added to this state of confusion.

Physical truth prevails, in most, as greed and self-promotion rarely take a back seat to the oneness it denies. Our drive and our ambitions have kept us from advancing spiritually. Teachers of religion and theosophy have perverted the word, twisting it and falsifying it for their own gain. Their greed and lust for power have led not only them astray, but those that have followed them.

By the very nature of things, we are our worst enemy. Truth is not sought only creature comforts and the power over others matters to us. The physical existence is our primary concern. How to make a buck is our motto.

But what of the other side of the coin. In a world of oneness would we not all be the same, living happy well-adjusted lives without need or want. Dishonesty and the want to have power over others would not exist. There would be no greed or envy. Only peace and harmony would exist in a tranquil setting.

Which would you prefer? I think the answer is obvious, for in oneness there would be no strife. We would know happiness even though there are no emotions to confuse the issues because there are no issues. When there is strife there is stress, competition, ambition, which lead to all sorts of problems.

Emotions are the enemy of the physical and spiritual being. They lead us in ways that we don’t really want to go. They take us to places that creates the strife we want to avoid. Our very existence is defined by these emotions, whether they are positive or negative. In the state of oneness the positive aspects exist without the personal emotions to get in our way.

Is this then a boring place you might ask, though it is not so. In fact, it is a place of answered wonder where the whole of it will never be known. Like nothing that holds everything THE ALL is precisely that.

separation-is-the-illusionWhen we give something a name or try to describe it we create separation, set limits, draw lines or boundaries, but there are none. When we think of up we pair it with down, heads we think of tails, right and wrong, yen and yang, etc. In reality they are all the same coming from the root, which is one. Since there is only the one there cannot be two or duality. The coin is one just as the rock or grass in THE ALL.

There is only oneness, all being the same, but the concept is lost in the egoic mind that is trapped in the illusion, trapped by itself. It cannot know the truth because it is the lie. Only the true self can know the truth and it is already enlightened. When we look to the stillness we come to know the truth and realize we are enlightened. Not superior or inferior, because we are one, the same and existing as one.

Certain words imply separateness, but they are not accurate. The head side of the coin is like the tail side, they exist as one coin. It’s hard to reconcile the notion when we’re tied to the illusion that we are an individual, separated from all the other things. These things are not divided and are not things at all. They are one and the same only pictured differently in our mind, which is part of the illusion.

The divine is everywhere and everything. That’s you, me, the rock, the tree and anything else you can inaccurately name. They are all part of THE ALL. They exist as one. They are one, not separate, not divided, but one. Naming something implies boundaries where there are none so if you say tree you could mean rock or bird or you. THE ALL produces these, but with no ALL there is no tree, rock, bird or you. They appear only in the physical realm as separate, but in THE ALL, there is no division.

THE ALL is everyone and everything else. It always has been as it is never changing. THE ALL is not a thing, it is what it is, but even to label it as it is incorrect. THE ALL is and cannot be defined, categorized or described. When you become aware of the stillness and see the truth you will see THE ALL, reconnect with the enlightenment that has always been and know oneness as it was meant to be. Then the idea of separateness fades from what you believed to be reality.

In the days of plenty, when everything is going our way, we rarely pray for help or guidance or any of the other things we pray about. It’s when we are suffering that we want relief from it, or a solution for it. Happiness is a state of mind, but just the ego mind. This is the mind that makes us think we are separate. This is the mind that creates the problems and makes us suffer.

When we awaken in The ALL we realize we are one with the divine and though there is still suffering from aches and pains of the body, sorrows from illness or death, and even disasters like hurricanes and earthquakes, there is mostly happiness. It is the body that suffers and not the real you. The reality of suffering is only physical for the real you doesn’t know pain or sickness or death.

All physical things die or wear away. The true self has no beginning and no end. The true self allows everything to be. It does not know good from bad, right from wrong because in The ALL they don’t exist. There is only oneness, peace and harmony. As long as you’re awake all you’ll see is the nondualistic world of reality. Sure the physical body will get sick and eventually die, but the true self, which is no self, lives on and even in sickness it sees only the reality of its oneness.

Oneness is truth, the reality of the world, knowing that it is as it is. Knowing that no change is needed. Change is trying to control what can’t be controlled. It’s like trying to stop the rain from falling down or the wind to blow. These things are natural, just as waking from the dream state is natural.

Lift the veil, step into the silence, know the truth. This is the real you, the you that you want to know. The you that sees the truth and enlightenment. The you that perceives the world as it is and lets it be. Revel in the truth for it is freedom, real freedom from the suffering the ego puts us through.

Letting everything go. All thoughts, all ideas, all resistance to the ego self is when you will see the whole. There are no words to describe the ALL, or whatever you want to name it. A way of looking without eyes. A way of feeling without fingers. An inner sense that takes you beyond ego to find your true self. The self that is not controlled and manipulated by ego.

Truth is the enemy of ego. It fears the truth because it cannot no the truth as there is no place for ego in the awakened self, the true self. Ego is thoughts and ideas brought from the outside with our fine senses, filled with disinformation from other egos. One you see the truth you will see the lies. You will know the real you without the ego.

In the stillness that lays within there is love and peace and truth. It is in the nothingness that is everything. This is not a place that can be sought because it is here, there and everywhere, but nowhere, which can also be read as now here.

To have conditions is just another way of saying you don’t have control. This mind and body are not your true self. Though this life is a blessing, it is even more so when you are not controlled by ego. When the ego is in control it manufactures problems brought about by dualistic properties found in the realm of an ego controlled reality, which is not reality at all.

In a dualistic world there is right and wrong, good and bad, along with many other opposites. Nondualistic means there is only the way things truly are and this is truth. It is ALL. And yet, there are no divisions, no separations. ALL is one, in a divine grace.

Sure, there are all the goings on of the world and they will always be as they are at any given time. It is your perception that changes. It is the way you see the world that is new. When you awaken from the dream state you will see the truth, see the oneness that exists in reality. There is only one God who is everything. This very thing tells us inconclusively that there is only one and that there can be no other.

TheALLThere are two schools of thought regarding THE ALL and the Universe. THE ALL is mental. it doesn’t consist of matter, yet within it there is the Universe which is matter in the form of varying energies. These energies form matter which are real to us living on this plane of existence and must be treated as real by the wise.

Those that contend that anything that has beginning or end and is constantly changing cannot be real by the mere mention of this fact fail to realize that there are two realities. The reality that we must adhere to is the reality that we are energy and therefor subject to the laws of this reality, the reality of the Universe.

If we stub our toe on a rock we feel pain in the mind. The rock is a collection of energy forming atoms that make up molecules to bring about the rocks existence into this, the Universe. For that matter our foot and brain are the same thing, energy forming atoms that make up molecules. So there is no escaping the fact that they are real.

Because there are the laws governing this physical realm that are irrefutable we seem to be trapped in this existence, going round and round in circles and getting nowhere. Instead do as the wise do and use law against law; the higher against the lower. Mastery doesn’t consist of abnormal dreams, visions, and fantastic imaginings or living, but in using the higher forces against the lower. By vibrating at a higher level you can escape the boundaries of the lower planes.

This transmutation is the how the masters became masters. We do not live in a world of dreams, but in a Universe, which is real as our lives and actions can attest. To live using the laws to rise above that place we find ourselves, to live each day to our highest ideas and ideals is how to overcome this station.

The true meaning of life is not know to men on this plane, but there is no mistake made when living up to our best and most possible potential. We are all on the path, the road leading upward, each of us at our own place. Create this day the best world you know how. Feel your vibrations increase as you grow and evolve. Learn to understand one new thing and bring your world to a better place to be.
